Did Someone Order a Storm?

Here comes the storm
Having arrived late last night and spending a few hours catching up with Karen, today has mainly been a day of chilling out.  Karen took me to the Window to the Wetlands, which is home to an abundance of wildlife, water buffalo and good views.  Good views, that is, when it is not hammering it down with rain. Here's the wet season!

So we headed to Fogg Dam which is also home to birds and plantlife.  Oh, and some other critters too.

I know it's low season, but I can't get over how few people I have seen so far.  We drove past the Jumping Crocs boat, where they take you out on the river and basically encourage wild crocodiles to jump out of the water, and there wasn't a soul there.  On Fogg Dam we passed one guy on his phone, and a ranger, and that was it.  It wasn't even raining when we were there, it is just this quiet.

Still, it's a nice change in pace after Busy Brisbane.
